ASTRELL AI Usage & Disclosure Policy
Last updated: [Insert publication date]
1. Introduction
ASTRELL ("ASTRELL," "we," "us," or "our") is a digital creative agency that may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies as part of its internal creative process. This AI Usage & Disclosure Policy explains how and when we use AI, the safeguards we apply, and your rights as a client.
This Policy forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use AI
ASTRELL may use AI-assisted tools to support certain stages of the creative process, including but not limited to:
- Research and ideation: generating initial concepts, mood boards, or reference materials to inform creative direction;
- Drafting and iteration: producing draft copy, layout options, or design variations for human review and refinement;
- Technical assistance: code generation, debugging, SEO analysis, or performance optimisation;
- Content support: drafting blog posts, social media copy, or marketing materials for human editing and approval.
AI tools we currently use or may use include services provided by OpenAI and Anthropic, among others.
3. Human Oversight
All AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs used in client deliverables are subject to human review, refinement, and approval by ASTRELL's creative team before delivery. AI is a tool in our process, not a replacement for human creative judgement, quality control, or strategic thinking.
We do not deliver raw, unreviewed AI output as a finished deliverable.
4. Client Right to Request Fully Human-Created Work
Clients may request that their project be completed without AI-assisted tools by notifying ASTRELL in writing before the project begins. Such requests will be honoured, though they may affect project timelines and pricing, which will be discussed and agreed before work commences.
Requests to exclude AI tools made after a project has commenced will be accommodated where reasonably practicable, but ASTRELL cannot retrospectively remove AI assistance from work already completed.
5. Data Handling and AI
When AI tools are used in connection with a client project:
- We take reasonable steps to minimise the sharing of client-identifiable personal data with AI service providers;
- We do not upload confidential client materials to AI tools without appropriate safeguards, and we follow the data handling practices described in our Privacy Policy;
- AI service providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) process data in accordance with their own privacy and security policies. Where these providers act as data processors, their processing is governed by their standard data processing agreements;
- We do not use client project materials to train AI models. Any training or learning that occurs within third-party AI platforms is governed by those platforms' own policies, which we review when selecting providers.
6. Intellectual Property
AI-generated outputs incorporated into deliverables are subject to the intellectual property provisions in our Terms of Service (Section 13). Clients should be aware that:
- The legal status of copyright in AI-generated content varies by jurisdiction and is evolving;
- ASTRELL warrants that deliverables, as a whole and as reviewed and refined by our team, are delivered in good faith for the client's intended use;
- Where a project involves significant AI-generated elements, ASTRELL will disclose this to the client if it materially affects the nature of the deliverable.
7. Transparency
ASTRELL is committed to transparency about its use of AI. We include a visible notice on our website near our portfolio and case study sections to inform visitors that some work may involve AI-assisted tools. Clients are welcome to ask about the role of AI in their specific project at any time.
8. Limitations of AI
AI-generated outputs are not guaranteed to be:
- Error-free — AI tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading content;
- Unique — AI outputs may resemble content generated for other users of the same tools;
- Suitable for every purpose — the client remains responsible for reviewing deliverables before use and for ensuring they are appropriate for the client's specific context.
These limitations are mitigated by ASTRELL's human review process (Section 3) but cannot be entirely eliminated.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the AI tools we use, industry best practices, or legal and regulatory developments. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy.

This AI Usage & Disclosure Policy was prepared with AI-assisted drafting tools as part of a broader legal package for ASTRELL. It provides a general framework and does not constitute legal advice. We recommend it be reviewed by a qualified solicitor before publication, particularly as the legal landscape around AI-generated content continues to develop.
