ASTRELL Acceptable Use Policy

ASTRELL Legal

Last updated: [Insert publication date]

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that apply to anyone using ASTRELL's website, communication channels, or services ("you"). It exists to protect ASTRELL, our staff, our contractors, and our other clients, and to ensure our services are used fairly, lawfully, and safely.

This AUP forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service. A violation of this AUP is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in suspension or termination of services, as described in Section 4.

2. Prohibited Conduct

When using our website, communication channels (including contact forms, email, WhatsApp, and Telegram), or engaging our services, you must not:

  • Spam or misuse communications — send unsolicited bulk messages, repetitive automated messages, or use our contact channels for purposes unrelated to legitimate enquiries or project communication;
  • Abuse or overload our services — attempt to disrupt, overload, or degrade our website, systems, or communication channels;
  • Harass or abuse our staff or contractors — engage in abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour toward ASTRELL's team, contractors, or representatives;
  • Reverse engineer our systems — attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise derive the source code, structure, or underlying methods of any ASTRELL website, tool, or proprietary system;
  • Attempt unauthorised access — attempt to gain unauthorised access to ASTRELL's systems, accounts, data, or those of other clients;
  • Commit fraud — provide false information, misrepresent your identity or authority, engage in payment fraud, or attempt to circumvent our fraud prevention measures, including identity verification requests;
  • Upload malicious code — submit or transmit viruses, malware, ransomware, or any other harmful or disruptive code or files;
  • Submit illegal content — provide materials, briefs, or instructions that are unlawful in the jurisdictions relevant to the project, including content that is defamatory, obscene, or that promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activity;
  • Infringe intellectual property rights — submit content you do not own or do not have permission to use, or request that ASTRELL create work that knowingly infringes the intellectual property rights of a third party;
  • Interfere with our systems — introduce automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other tools to interact with our website or systems in a manner not intended by ASTRELL;
  • Misrepresent your identity — impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity, in your dealings with ASTRELL.

3. Client Content Standards

When submitting materials for a project (images, logos, documents, references, written content, brand assets, or other files), you confirm that:

  • You own the materials or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to use and share them with ASTRELL for the purposes of the project;
  • The materials do not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights;
  • The materials are not unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional creative engagement.

Further detail on client warranties regarding uploaded content is set out in our Terms of Service.

4. Consequences of Violation

If ASTRELL reasonably believes this AUP has been violated, we may, at our discretion and depending on the severity of the conduct:

  • Issue a warning and request corrective action;
  • Suspend or terminate access to our communication channels or ongoing services;
  • Decline to commence or continue a project, without obligation to refund fees for work already performed, in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy;
  • Remove or decline to publish submitted content that violates this AUP;
  • Report unlawful conduct (such as fraud or the transmission of malicious code) to relevant authorities;
  • Pursue any other remedy available under our Terms of Service or applicable law.

Where reasonably practicable, ASTRELL will attempt to notify you of a suspected violation before taking action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect ASTRELL, its staff, contractors, or other clients.

5. Reporting a Violation

If you become aware of conduct that may violate this AUP — for example, someone misusing our contact channels or attempting to impersonate ASTRELL — please report it to us:

  • Email: [Insert contact email]
  • Via our website contact form

6. Relationship to Other Policies

This AUP works alongside ASTRELL's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and AI Usage & Disclosure Policy. In the event of any conflict specifically regarding acceptable conduct, this AUP governs; for all other matters, the Terms of Service govern.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to address new risks or types of misuse as ASTRELL's services and communication channels evolve. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

This Acceptable Use Policy was prepared with AI-assisted drafting tools as part of a broader legal package for ASTRELL. It provides a general framework and does not constitute legal advice. We recommend it be reviewed by a qualified solicitor before publication.
